About the band:
Trilogy Celtic trio (affectionately known as "the three Lauras") weaves a musical tapestry of misty remembrances, far-away places, and a foot-stompin. good time when they bring their harp, voice and fiddle to town. Trilogy is a collaboration between Celtic harpist Laura Zaerr, vocalist Laura Berryhill and fiddler Laurie Goren. Inspired by respect for tradition tempered with an enthusiasm for new horizons, the group draws from Scottish and Irish sources, presenting innovative arrangements with innate graciousness and integrity. Berryhill's compelling voice is equally comfortable with the acrobatics of a Gaelic waulking song or the emotional impact of a Dougie MacLean ballad. Zaerr brings years of experience in Celtic music to the group. Her sensitive and exciting Celtic harp arrangements are alternately poignant and danceable. Goren's superb fiddle style derives largely from the Scottish tradition, while her strong sense of rhythm adds verve and grace to the ensemble. A concert reviewer has said of the band, "Scottish and Irish music is such a mix of merry and melancholy, and these three lovely ladies [...] spun a web around us all, and transported us to those sometimes gloomy, sometimes enchanting isles." Don't miss the chance to journey with Trilogy through sorrow and joy to a foot-stompin' good time. For more information, visit Trilogy's website: www.trilogyceltica.com.

About the CD:
Trilogy's CD, Far Morning, features Scottish and Irish songs and tunes, traditional and modern. The group brings new meaning to old favorites such as Phil Colclough's Song for Ireland, treated as an introspective journey, or the traditional She Moved Through the Fair, where the harp adds a strongly rhythmic "Scandia Celt" twist. Laurie Goren's breathtaking intensity in J. Scott Skinner's Bovaglie's Plaid needs no accompaniment. In Alasdair Fraser's Stratherrick the harp washes like ocean waves over the haunting fiddle sound. Laura Berryhill's fine vocal flexibility is put to work in the Reel of Tullochgorum as she draws the listener into an increasingly complex network of satirical verbiage. The CD has been described by listeners as both "vibrant" and "hauntingly beautiful." For more information, visit Trilogy's website: www.trilogyceltica.com.
